As we start to return back to office and working environments the risk of spreading infections in the workplace is ever-present, with the duty on the employer to ensure all staff have the knowledge and understanding to keep both themselves and their colleagues safe.

What will this course cover?
This course is split into 3 sections:
First we will take a closer look at what infections are, who’s at risk of infection, and where infections come from. In the next section we will look at how the transmission of infection happens, what we can do to break the chain of infection at work and the control measures that help colleagues stay healthy and avoid infections. In the final section we focus on good personal hygiene and the correct use of PPE, how to store and handle food correctly, safe waste disposal in addition to keeping the environment in which you work clean and safe.
It is important that as a responsible employer you make sure staff are aware of the shared responsibility and the Law surrounding the Occupational Health, Safety & Well-being for everyone in the workplace.
