We recognise that although we have made it easy for you to buy bite sized ready made courses, you will want to make sure that as part of your in-house training programme, each of our online courses embed your own policies and practices.
This is why we will ask you to share your policies with us:
- We can make sure the content reflects your policies & processes
- Help embed your values and emphasize the way in which you want colleagues to conduct themselves and therefore behave in a way that develops the culture of your organisation.
Timings
Our online courses are delivered by Zoom or Teams and are complemented by presentations and practical resources. Depending on the nature of the course they run from 60 to 180 minutes with either one or two facilitators. We know you are busy people so we can deliver sessions Morning, Afternoon or Evening, including weekends, ideally to suit your schedules and other work commitments.
Pre & Post work
We will always encourage some pre and post work to be completed by delegates and will agree this in advance with you. Generally prep work involves a degree of tasking to ensure delegates get the most from the session, particularly as these are bite sized courses. Post work is usually facilitated from within the organisation to ensure newly acquired skills are embed within every day practice.
Confidentiality
We work by a code of ethics that both facilitators and delegates are asked to observe. Delegates are asked to anonymise situations or scenarios they may wish to explore in the session so that they see how their new skills would work on live or relevant issues. Confidentiality is important to us, as it enables delegates to trust one another and share with the group in a safe environment.
Where we have two layers of management e.g. one reporting to the other, we may recommend splitting the cohort so that each feel comfortable disclosing issues that may involve them both.
The way we structure our courses
Ideally we aim to design courses for a minimum of 5 or 10 delegates up to a maximum of 10 or 15 depending on the type of course and your business needs. For instance you may want us to run the same content but one is aimed at managers and the other to staff without line management responsibility. Smaller numbers are easier to run to get engagement however we can run sessions with more delegates just talk to us and we can work out the best way of delivery.
Our courses are always run with your delegates in mind, which means we adopt a model of experiential learning so practical skills are embedded and can be used straight away. We always encourage delegates to have a practice session with other delegates after the course to help embed learnings, gain feedback and have some reflection time before they deploy their new found skills and knowledge.
We accommodate all learning styles and ask for delegates to complete a short questionnaire prior to the session so we can adapt content prior to the session enabling all learners to get the most from the course.
One to One Training
You may only have one or two people that need our training, for example for conducting an investigation or chairing a hearing. Equally you may want to complete this quickly, as a timely process is essential for you to conclude proceedings. That's not a problem for us and as qualified practitioners we understand that it is sometimes easier to prepare colleagues on a one to one basis and provide immediate support rather than running a training session at full capacity. We would still charge a minimum of £550* for the session but your delegate would have ample opportunity to ask questions and explore scenarios in a safe space to ensure they feel confident and prepared ready to use their newly acquired skills.
Creating Value for Money
Adapting to online delivery has been easy for us, as all our content is delivered in an engaging and informative way in bite sized chunks. Moving to online with ready made content means we can pass on the savings to you. We can of course create an entirely bespoke offering, however this would incur a design and development cost on our day rate, depending on your needs and the complexity of the content.
Obviously the more delegates (up to the maximum) you can get on the course the more value for money you will realise for your organisation.
Accreditation & Qualification
All of our courses can provide delegates with a certificate of completion or you can align the course outcomes against competency levels within your organisation. We have also mapped the majority of our course content to accredited qualifications should you want to provide staff with a certificated pathway towards a diploma or degree. If you want to provide a qualified route you can decide to either sponsor colleagues or pass on the cost depending on how you want to encourage and engage staff in their development.
