At PreciseHR, we believe that human rights are non-negotiable. As a small business, we have the privilege and responsibility to ensure that our operations and those of the businesses we work with, are free from any form of exploitation, including modern slavery and human trafficking.
While our size means we are not legally obligated under the Modern Slavery Act (2015), we choose to hold ourselves accountable to those standards. We believe that protecting human rights and advocating for fair, ethical practices should be a priority for every business, no matter its size.
Our Values and Commitment
Human dignity is at the heart of everything we do. Whether through the guidance we provide to our clients or in our own day-to-day operations, we are committed to ensuring that no one we work with. directly or indirectly is subject to conditions that violate their basic rights.
As CEO, I am personally committed to making sure that PreciseHR not only complies with ethical standards but also actively promotes them. We strive to work with like-minded partners, suppliers, and clients who share these values. It's not just about meeting a legal obligation; it’s about doing the right thing and being part of a movement that demands better for everyone.
Our Approach
In practical terms, our business may not have a complex supply chain, but that doesn’t make us any less vigilant. We conduct thorough vetting of any third-party suppliers, contractors, or partners to ensure they operate in line with our values. We regularly assess any potential risks related to modern slavery and, where necessary, take action to mitigate them.
Through our consultancy work, we also encourage our clients to adopt responsible HR practices that protect workers from exploitation. I believe that, by supporting them in this journey, we can influence positive change far beyond our own organisation.
Training and Awareness
I’m proud to say that every member of the PreciseHR team is trained to understand the signs of modern slavery and what to do if they encounter it. We make sure this training is kept up to date, so our team can be confident that they’re acting in line with the latest guidance and best practices. As a small team, we all play a role in making sure we are doing our part
Open Communication and Action
If there are any concerns about modern slavery, whether within our business or in our clients’ operations, we are committed to addressing them swiftly and sensitively. I want everyone who works with us to feel safe in raising any issues, knowing they will be treated with the seriousness they deserve.
Looking Ahead
This statement is a reflection of who we are as a business, but it’s also a promise to keep improving. Each year, we will review our efforts and continue to push ourselves and the businesses we work with to ensure modern slavery is never tolerated.
Thank you for standing with us in this commitment.

1.1. Customised Codes of Conduct
One of the first steps in promoting ethical practices within an organisation is establishing clear guidelines for behaviour. We work closely with businesses to develop customised codes of conduct that reflect their unique values, industry requirements, and legal obligations. These codes provide employees, managers, and stakeholders with a roadmap for ethical decision-making and outline expectations for conduct in areas such as:
1.2. Ethics and Compliance Policies
We assist organisations in creating comprehensive ethics and compliance policies that include frameworks for monitoring and enforcing ethical standards. This helps businesses build a culture where unethical behaviour is quickly identified and corrected, and where every individual knows their responsibilities in upholding these standards.
2.1. Ethical Leadership and Role Modelling
We believe that ethical practices start at the top. PreciseHR helps organisations develop ethical leadership programmes that equip senior leaders and managers with the tools they need to act as role models of integrity. By fostering a culture where ethical behaviour is demonstrated by leadership, we help businesses ensure that these values filter down through every level of the organisation.
2.2. Embedding Ethics into Day-to-Day Operations
We work with organisations to integrate ethical considerations into their daily operations. This involves reviewing and adjusting business processes, decision-making frameworks, and employee practices to ensure that ethics are at the heart of every action. This includes ethical procurement, sustainable resource use, and transparent communication with stakeholders.
2.3. Employee Empowerment and Ownership
It’s vital that employees feel empowered to make ethical decisions. Through workshops and ongoing training, we help organisations create an environment where staff understand the importance of ethical practices and feel confident raising concerns if they see something wrong. We encourage businesses to provide employees with the autonomy to act ethically without fear of negative repercussions.
3.1. Supplier Audits and Vetting Processes
Supply chains can often be an area where unethical practices, including modern slavery and exploitation, are hidden. PreciseHR works with organisations to implement robust supplier vetting and auditing processes. We help businesses develop ethical sourcing policies that ensure suppliers adhere to labour laws and human rights standards.
This includes:
3.2. Collaboration with Ethical Suppliers
We guide organisations on how to build strong, transparent relationships with ethical suppliers. By focusing on long-term partnerships with suppliers who share the same commitment to responsible business practices, companies can mitigate the risk of modern slavery, environmental harm, and other unethical practices in their supply chains.
4.1. Diversity and Inclusion Strategies
Ethical workplaces are inclusive workplaces. We help organisations implement diversity and inclusion (D&I) strategies that go beyond legal compliance to foster environments where everyone is treated fairly, respected, and given equal opportunities. This includes:
4.2. Anti-Discrimination and Equal Pay Practices
Ensuring fairness in employment is a cornerstone of ethical practice. We help businesses establish anti-discrimination policies that protect employees from unfair treatment based on race, gender, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic. We also support companies in implementing transparent and equitable pay structures, ensuring equal pay for equal work across all levels of the organisation.
5.1. Modern Slavery Act Compliance
For businesses subject to the UK’s Modern Slavery Act (2015), we provide consultancy on how to comply with reporting requirements, including producing annual modern slavery statements. For smaller organisations, we offer guidance on voluntary commitments to combat modern slavery and ensure human rights are protected throughout their operations. We help organisations to:
5.2. Human Rights Impact Assessments
Beyond compliance, we support organisations in conducting human rights impact assessments to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement. These assessments help businesses understand how their operations affect the rights of employees, customers, suppliers, and the communities in which they operate.
6.1. Implementing Confidential Reporting Systems
An essential component of ethical practice is giving employees and stakeholders a safe way to report unethical behaviour. We help organisations establish confidential whistleblowing systems that allow individuals to raise concerns about unethical or illegal practices without fear of retaliation. This may include:
6.2. Protecting Whistleblowers
We also advise businesses on how to protect whistleblowers from any form of retaliation or negative consequences. Ensuring that employees can report concerns in confidence is crucial to maintaining an ethical workplace culture.
At PreciseHR, we understand that ethical practices are not static. They need regular monitoring and adjustments to stay effective and relevant. That’s why we offer comprehensive Ethical Audits and Reviews to ensure your business is always operating at its best.
Benchmark Your Business Against the Best
In today’s competitive environment, ethical performance is a key differentiator. We help you benchmark your ethical practices against industry standards and best practices. By identifying areas for improvement and setting measurable goals, your business can enhance its commitment to ethical operations while staying ahead of competitors.
